Economy
The economic and demographic indictors reflect a strong and vital market for growth and prosperity in the Concord and Cabarrus County area. Employment and income levels are strong and rising. The Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation believes that the area has a strong pool of available workers for new employers. With its close proximity to Charlotte, Concord has benefited from the strong economic growth of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.

Transportation
One major interstate, I-85, and four major highways serve the Concord area, and is approximately one mile from the I-485 outer belt loop.

Concord Regional Airport is located just off I-85. This facility currently provides charter and private plane hanger facilities, and will serve more cargo, corporate travel and commercial flights in the future. International air travel is available at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, only 20 minutes form Concord.

Social
Concord Mills is a super value oriented regional shopping center with over 200 stores and restaurants and a 24-screen AMC movie complex. Concord is also home the Lowe's Motor Speedway.
